MFC3: War Games - Registration Under Way

Registration for the unique MFC3 War Games is currently under way as we are expanding MMA to a team sport with 8 captains drafting themselves a team of 6 fighters to go into battle against the other teams in this 8 team double elimination tournament.

MFC2: Second Chance - 200 BSP Division Wraps Up

The unique last man standing approach to the MFC2 200 BSP Division wrapped up Friday night with the finals between Homicidal Maniac and Gladiator Style with the Maniac getting the better of Gladiator Style to take home the win.

MFC2: Second Chance - 150 Division - Madison Bartlett is crowned Queen

The future of the MFC starred in a 11-man and one woman round robin tournament followed by a 6 fighter elimination process. Madison "Crazy Baby" Bartlett overcame all odds and picked up a big victory over Little Timmy in the finals to take home her first title.

MFC2: Second Chance - No Limit BSP Division Wraps Up

The best of the best battled it out in the No Limit division as MFC1 runner up Ryan Betesta battled it out with Ostara Black in the finals. The 10 man double elimination saw the culmination of a decisive run by Betesta who has only lost once in the MFC ring at the hands of MFC 1 winner Tommy Dravz.

MFC2: Second Chance - 230 Max BSP - Fred Emelienanko Wins

A tough 32-man double elimination tournament war was waged at MFC2 in the 230 Max division as Fred Emelienanko duked it out with Cama Gai in the finals in an exciting matchup that saw the Bear take home trophy.

MFC2: Second Chance - 215 Division Wraps Up

An impressive fight ended the 16 fighter 215 BSP Limit Division tournament with Paper Lions (3-4 in MFC1) winning over Bitter Midget (MFC Debut). Paper Lions put wins up against Acid Blink, Tug Krunkle and Ryan Thompson before winning against Bitter Midget. Congrats to Paper Lions!

MFC2: Second Chance - Registration Open!!

Hey guys,

things are really going well with the first MFC tournament so its time for Round 2!! We started pre-registration to get a feel for how many people were interested and its great to see the buzz around here. Tell your friends, league mates and whoever to get involved in this! If you've already pre-registered, we're going to go through the list and figure out your BSP and add you to a tournament. If you would like to be placed in a higher tournament or in the no-limit, please let us know.

This tournament will feature 6 seperate tournaments with 5 BSP limits:

- No Limit (all can enter)
- 230 Max
- 215 Max
- 200 Max
- 150 Max
- 125 Max

Please note that we will be calculating your BSP at the time and registration and adding 5 on top of it to make up for any gains through training throughout the week. I think that 5 is a fair number.

So a little bit of fun for everyone. The registration threads (each tournament will get its own thread) will be coming up shortly as our tournament hosts put them together. Each tournament may have different rules so be sure to check out your BSP thread and sign up and have a great time. Tell your friends!

Tournament Committee

The tournament committee will be in charge of organizing and moderating tournaments run by the Unofficial MFC. They will handle any disputes regarding tournaments and handling registration. They will also send PM's to our fighters to inform them of tournaments.

If you are interested in joining the tournament committee, send me an email at rbetesta@yahoo.com or PM me on MassiveFighting.com. We will ask that you be a dedicated member of MassiveFighting.com with some spare time on your hands. You will adhere to the rules and standards of our tournaments (information can be found on the information page). All tournaments must be approved by the Head of the Tournament Committee before beginning registration. We expect all of our tournament hosts to host at least two tournaments a month.

MFC 1: The Beginning

Registration is currently open for the premier MFC event. The tournament should be starting in the next few days and will be open to all MassiveFighting.com fighters as long as they register in time.

- 64 fighters (may go to 128 if there is enough interest) will compete in a round robin league style in 8 groups of 8 with the top two fighters from each group advancing to a 16 fighter elimination tournament.

- Each fighter will face all 7 other fighters in their group over the span of 3 days.

- The Round Robin will take place over the span of 3 days with two matches being held on each of the first two days and three on the 3rd day. If people would like, we can spread the round robin out to last longer. The schedule will be posted once registration is completed.

- Round Robin Matches will consist of 7 fights (each fighter initiating 3 fights with one fighter being pre-selected to intiate 4). Whoever wins the most fights will win the match. Think of fights as being rounds and the fighter with the most rounds wins the match.

- Fighters can post their results after they have initated all of their matches. I will create a results thread for you to post your results in. Fighters must fight on that scheduled day and will have until 10pm EST to fight their matches other wise they will be forfeited. Each match will be worth two points and if you win all 7 fights, you will get a bonus point.

- The Elimination portion of the tournament will consist of 11 fights (each fighter intiating 5 fights with one fighter being pre-selected to initate 6) with the fighter who wins the most fights taking the match.

- Each round will last one day with the next day's match schedules being posted after the 10pm EST completion time.

- No fighter store items will be allowed. Obviously, no one can really prove that you did or didn't use them but I ask that you obey the rules and not use them.

- As the host of the tournament, I will have the final say in all matters. All fighters must agree to obey the rules and use their best sportmanship judgment while competiting in the tournament.

Information

Unofficial Massive Fighting Championship is a series of fighter tournaments ran on the website MassiveFighting.com. We are looking to run a tournament every two weeks (with more being ran later on when we have a strong base of fighters). The first tournament will be open to fighters of all BSP ranges however in the future we are planning to run tournaments with specific BSP ranges (similar to weight class ranges in MMA fights). There are some basic rules that the fighters must follow to participate in the tournaments:

- These tournaments will rely heavily on sportsmanship and us being able to trust one another. Since we can't prove who won each of the fights, it will be up to the fighters to post their results and be truthful about the results. I will try my best to remedy any sticky situations however any dispute will likely lead to one or both fighters being DQed from the tournament.

- There will be no prize however, you will have bragging rights and be able to post your success on your profile as well as it will be documented in our winners and events history.

- Each tournament may have a different format as far as number of fighters, number of fights per match and whether it is round robin, elimination, double elimination or other formats. It will be up to the tournament host to pre-determine how they will be handling the tournament.

- Fighters must fight on that scheduled day and will have until 10pm EST to fight their matches other wise their portion of the match will be forfeited. Any fight not fought on the scheduled day will be counted as a loss towards the match.

- If a fighter does not participate in two days of fights, all of his matches will be forfeited and his opponents will all be awarded victories and any decisions that went his way will be reversed.

- No fighter store items will be allowed. They have been removed and this is just a precaution in case they ever come back. Obviously, no one can really prove that you did or didn't use them but I ask that you obey the rules and not use them.

- The host of the tournament will have the final say in all matters involved in the tournament. If need be, the tournament committee will step in to contravene any issues.. All fighters must agree to obey the rules and use their best sportmanship judgment while competiting in the tournament.
